I had the great fortune of having very active parents who liked to keep me integrated into their lives as animal activists and veterinarians. So, it’s no surprise that as I was growing up, I took a strong interest in the field of zoological studies and animal medicine.
I went to a wonderful school that helped me to build on the foundation of biology and earth sciences that I took in high school, and I graduated as one of the top in my class from the animal sciences program! The look of great pride and love that was on my parents’ faces that day reminded me of lions on the grasslands.
Not too long after I graduated, I began work in the health ward department of the campus’s zoology department where I met my mentor who would then guide me to greater and greater heights within the international animal conservation societies.
I found that my skills in animal medicine and biology really lent themselves well to taking care of sick animals from the many zoos and wildlife habitats across the country. So I started to travel between these locations performing to the best of my ability of sick creatures of all types.
