My obsession with maple syrup has taken me to some pretty interesting places over the years, but I have to admit that my most recent trip to Raleigh/Durham, NC was by far one of the best excursions that I have done to date. I imagine the corporate housing in Raleigh and Durham that I was able to book through Peak Suites, LLC is at least part of why this trip was so wonderful and successful in my mind, in addition to the wonderful maple syrup that I was able to experience.
Growing up, my family did not really partake in anything sweet or sugary at all. It wasn’t even necessarily due to health concerns or spiritual outlook; it was just something that we simply did not spend money on.
I never really felt like I was missing out on anything, even when I would go over to my friend’s house and eat candy together, it simply felt like something I did not desire. However, after I eventually experienced pancakes and maple syrup for the first time, I can say that it rocked my world.
Despite never having much of a sweet tooth for candy or sodas, I don’t know why or how maple syrup somehow seemed to affect me totally differently. It’s almost like a light went off in the back of my mind, and I was suddenly aware of just how complex and rewarding taste could be.
Over time, I suppose it was only natural that I would explore more of what maple syrup had to offer me. Breakfast foods that incorporated maple syrup quickly became my go to favorites, and I was particularly excited about non-breakfast foods that also somehow incorporated maple syrup.
I don’t know exactly how this obsession really took hold, but all of these experiences definitely came together into my current fascination. As a result, I have dedicated some time to my passion, and have been able to explore maple syrup in many different places, including the sweet accommodations provided by Peak Suites, LLC in Raleigh/Durham, NC.
