Being an air traffic controller has lent itself well to an exciting life. Beyond the general perks that you can imagine from working in a travel industry, I have also recently been temporarily assigned to the airport near Washington DC and put up in my own furnished apartment in Washington D.C. from Attache Property Management, LLC.
I suppose the industry has been somewhat understaffed with air traffic controllers recently, hence my temporary relocation to Washington DC. This region in particular has experienced a significant uptick in airline travel, which has required a higher number of airplanes, and then by extension more air traffic controllers to navigate the flow.
Even though I often enjoy speaking with pilots and learning about their experiences, I don’t necessarily envy them for their line of work. Instead of spending a multitude of time away from my family, I still get to enjoy many of the perks that pilots enjoy but instead, I get to come home to my family every night.
This is certainly one of the best perks of my job, and I also get paid quite well too! On top of that, I get to fly for free often and very much enjoy that benefit as well.
So far, working out of this new airport has been an exciting challenge. Even though air traffic control work is pretty standard across-the-board no matter where you are in the country, learning an individual airport can be fresh and exhilarating because the style and terrain are quite different from one place to the next.
Above all, my furnished apartments in Washington D.C. from Attache Property Management, LLC has absolutely been wonderful during my time here. I was a little hesitant at first to be temporarily relocated, but the accommodations I am using have very much assuaged my fear.
I have met so many wonderful people who live in the area and have even been able to pick up on more than a few insider secrets. Everything is quite comfortable, and I have thoroughly been enjoying myself in these new digs.
I’m not entirely sure how long this relocation will last, but at least I know that I will be 100% well taken care of for as long as Attache Property Management, LLC maintains me as a guest.
