My favorite thing about designing golf courses is being outside and walking the grounds, and my least favorite thing about the job is finding a place to stay when I get a new job. The time I spend in places like Tampa FL makes me remember why the sport of golf is the greatest game in the world. I love the peace and quiet of a course in the early morning and simply walking along the grass after hitting a nice put.
It’s this kind of energy and tranquility that I try to imbue into each course I design, because at the end of the day, I just want the people using it to enjoy themselves and appreciate the ambiance that I have worked so hard to implement into the course. My dream is to make a course that will be accepted into the tournament circuits, so I’ll keep trying my best as time goes on.
